The Meridian's West Village location draws daily inspiration from the Union Square Greenmarket, just a short walk from our kitchen door. Our chef de cuisine visits the market four mornings a week, selecting produce at peak ripeness and occasionally discovering new ingredients that inspire impromptu specials — the kind of cooking you can only do when you're truly connected to local agriculture.
The West Village community's commitment to local food mirrors our own, creating a virtuous cycle of support for regional agriculture. Many of our regular guests are themselves gardeners, home cooks, and CSA members who appreciate the quality of genuinely farm-to-table cooking. Our wine list echoes this local-first philosophy with a dedicated section of New York State wines from Long Island, the Finger Lakes, and the Hudson Valley.
